Dr.Denise Lewis (She/Her)

A Bit About Dr. Lewis 

Dr. Denise Lewis is the Chief Executive Officer for Tru-Rob Counseling and Consulting, LLC. She is a licensed professional counselor and a nationally certified counselor. Her areas of specialization include Counselor Education, Clinical Counseling, Multicultural & Diversity Issues in Counseling, and Spiritual & Religious Issues in Counseling. Dr. Lewis’ research interests are focused on African American youth and families and involve evaluating and addressing systemic problems that impact their areas of wholistic functioning. 

She holds a Ph.D. in Counselor Education from Ohio University, a M.A. in Counseling Ministry from Methodist Theological School in Ohio, and a B.A. in Sociology from Ohio Dominican College. Her areas of specialization include Counselor Education, Clinical Counseling, Children and Adolescents, Multicultural & Diversity Issues in Counseling and Spiritual & Religious Issues in Counseling.

Dr. Lewis is also an Assistant Professor at Grace College & Seminary, based in Winona Lake, Indiana. She teaches in the online Graduate Counseling Department and enjoys working with counseling students as they continue to expand their knowledge base. She has worked in a variety of academic settings and values the opportunity to engage with students on their journey to reaching their goals.
